Softball hitting is the most difficult skill in softball and it will be more difficult if the hitter is facing a great pitcher. There are a lot of things that a hitter needs to learn and remember in order to play well. The difficulty of hitting will be lessened if the hitter will follow some practices and instructions which can help a lot to make the task of hitting easier. Practices will certainly help a hitter like you because this will enable you to be stronger and this could only mean one thing, you will have a bigger chance to get a lot of hits.

There are some certain tips in softball hitting that you must always remember and you must incorporate them while you are practicing or if you are already in the actual game. If you can remember and utilize all of these tips then for sure no matter how great the pitcher is, you will still be able to hit the ball.

As a hitter, you must not have stiff wrists because having this will affect the way you hit. You will surely have trouble in rolling your wrist as you hit. The best thing that you can do here is to practice holding the bat properly during practice. If you are right-handed then you must try to place the barrel of the bat on the ground and rest its handle across the middle knuckle of your left hand. Then put your right hand in the same position. If you do this, the bat will just barely touch your palm.

You must also make sure that you have this power. You must have power in a way that you have the speed and the energy when you swing. Not having the needed speed and energy when you swing will greatly affect your hit. So you must make sure that your hands and arms are strong enough.

When you are already in the actual game or you are doing your training, see to it that each swing count. Don’t just swing because that is what you are supposed to do. You must swing and at the same time make sure that you will hit the ball.

As a hitter, it is very important that you should also focus on the pitcher and the ball that he is going to release. If you will not do this then you will surely have a hard time in hitting the ball. You must not let yourself to be destructed because this will just ruin you. See to it that you are seeing the ball clearly so that you will be able to hit it easily.
